Title: MFSW on DSG wheel, do I need controller?
Post by: mesaosi on November 26, 2012, 03:20:17 pm
Quick question guys before I order the wrong thing, if I have a late '08 MK5 GTI with the paddle shifters on my wheel, and I want to add the MFSW controls, can I just order the buttons, or do I need to order the controller as well?

Thanks

As far as I'm aware if you have dsg and paddles already from factory then you will only need the buttons.

I'm sure somebody else will be along to confirm

Cheers lads, managed to find a shop on Ebay selling them on their own, so hopefully I'll have more buttons to play with in the next few days

Just as a follow up to anyone else look at this, I got the controls in the post earlier this week and fitted them last night. Was literally a 10 minute job. Would have been quicker but I was somewhat wary of the airbag.

No controller needed, no coding needed. Was just plug and play!
