Hi folks, I am the proud new owner of a 08, stock GTI. I am hopeing someone can help me out.
I have a RNS510 unit in the car, it has no bluetooth. I am trying to find out what I need to do this, and maybe add a few "extra`s" via VAG COM.
Now, I`ve tried to hold down the reset button, but cannot get past the AM, FM, DAB screen. What wires/cables do I need to ask someone for? What other little extras can I get?
Don`t want to go down the go-faster route, (yet anyway)... My knowledge about this sort of thing is about, / / this much.
Thanks in advance.

oh, btw it has an "i" button if thats any help?

You need to hold down the setup button to see the unit details
As for Bluetooth I would recommend the 5k0/7ps integrated unit that works through the stereo via the Bluetooth button - EddieNl on here can supply what you need for about £140 all in - including the mic, box and wiring
Great Bluetooth unit and can bluetooth stream music too

You need to keep the setup button pressed for about 30 seconds.
If you can't get to the test menu then you may need vcds to do a channel 50 adaption to enable it.

Ok, will give it another go... feel like I`m banging my head against a brick wall!!
