Do these cheaper units

- Use the same camera as the badge mounted camera?
- and offer the same feature(s)
- Are they just cheaper for not being badge mounted

they are cheaper as they don't have the badge mechanism

That's exactly the same camera yes , its cheaper as there is a mechanism in the rear badge to pop the camera out.

the one on ebay is just a rear handle that can't be mounted in the golf unless you want to bodge it in

the scirocco version is better if you want to bodge it :P
