Title: Cruise Control ED30

Hi all, Just spoken to a dealer and they said that my Edition 30 can't have cruise control fitted because I don't have a multi function display (showing the radio info etc). Couple of points in that why would it make any difference, and is he chatting complete balls?? If so, what part number should I get?

Sorry dont mean to jump on your thread, got my GTI few weeks back and still know all the controls. I have what looks to be speed limit / cruise control button on the the left indicator switch, it has ON / OFF function. tried using it on motor way and it doesnt keep at certain speed.....so thinking it speed limiter...any info on how to use would be great.

make sure the stalk is switched to: ON

get to the speed you want and Gear. On the rocker at the end of the stalk should have SET & RES. Press SET

Can't ! They sell the the actual switches to enable you to do it . Vote for Eddie-NL to be VW 's retrofit advisor £50k pa , they'll get their money back in no time with all the extra sales  :happy2:

I had cruise retro fitted to my GTI and I don't have the multifunction display. Admittedly I dont have an ED30, but I don't see why that would make a difference.

Just to confirm previous comments/replies, when I bought my ED30 over 4 years ago ( from a VW main dealer ) it was advertised with cruise control and it did'nt have it so they subsequently fitted it for me.
