We have this fitted to our GTI, I think it is a great bit of kit especially considering it is half the price of a lot of intakes!

We sell these as well

They are spot on for the money. A lot of cars in the US run these on big power so they are good for K04 etc.

My cover definately doesnt fit with the induction kit in although you can get some designed to fit snugly with the induction piping.

The p flo isn't designed to fit with the original engine cover but you can cut it to work around the piping for it.

As you can see from the picture i posted on the first page you can see how that differs from the stock air box  :happy2:

Alternatively neuspeed do an aftermarket engine cover in carbon fibre but IIRC its around the £200 mark  :scared:

Gone for black mate think the red would look funny once I've chopped an engine cover to fit we had 2 big lads pulling on mine in the specified points yesterday and it wouldn't budge I think someone might have glued it.

Cool, I'm thinking red then spray the centre part of the cover red. You cover sounds a right PITA. I see your other thread about it. Haven't had time to practice removing mine you but hope it plays ball! As you say sounds like someone previous has glued your back on probably VW lol

It happened with mine!! I was sat in their waiting room and in the corner of my eye I saw them struggling...then next thing guy whacks a loud of glue to the cover and pushes down!!! Cheeky little man. SO I made a point of dealing with this. Luckily no effects as was removed quickly. Anyway, I have a nice black mixed with a bit of blue cover for mine. Fits very snugly around my p-low piping. Suits my GTi very nicely.

The neuspeed goodies arrived from GNJ today (quality service) fitted the kit tonight in minus 1 temperatures, it's a very easy kit to install of your mechanically minded and take your time you can't really mess up, took the car for a good drive and I love the kit I don't know what people were moaning about them sounding too loud they aren't at all, they sound awesome you can hear the turbo spooling up and the DV doing its job when you let off and change gear. You really can't beat it for the money to say it's half the price of the forge, itg etc.

They do have a smaller diameter. The size remains the same all the way around. The ITG has a bigger bore up to the MAF.

All I will say though is there are a lot of big power cars in the US that use these trouble free. They are more than capable for tuning on the stock K03/K04.

Glad you are happy with it mate.

We do have a new intake coming next year which will have a bigger bore pipe up to the MAF but I will still sell the Neuspeed as an option as it does the job and looks great.

Honestly if I could buy them a bit cheaper I'd just use them  :signLOL:

It will be similar to the ITG and BDM intake. To be honest, there are only so many ways to do it, I am just annoyed at the lack of profit in any of them now after ITG pulled the rug from under all their dealers and got in bed with APR/Awesome.

That said, it will not be a copy, there a few things I think we can do better.

It will have a choice of 11 silicone colours for a start. I just need to decide on the filter head and find an engineering company to build the MAF housing into the pipes and we can start to produce them.

Yeah our hose supplier I rate as the best in the UK. They are brilliant quality and they do 11 different colours for no extra charge. I could get the hoses cheaper elsewhere but I want it to be the best it can be so I will be using them.

I am going to try and find a local engineering firm to make the hard pipes with MAF housing this week, once that is sorted we are done, well, I need to decide which filter head to use but that is just a choice really!

I was thinking he meant that one, I used snipe nose pliers and moved it up to the flex part of the pipe then just got my fingers round the end of pipe and worked it off the turbo.
