Hi boys & girls...I'm thinking of going down the hybrid route next year..if I purchased a loba 380 ko4 or a turbo dynamics hybrid ko4,what supporting mods will I need to go with the turbo eg injectors etc etc or can I get away with fitting the turbo & a custom remap ...
I've got fitted to my ed30 Apr pump,Ths ic,twintake,bcs powervalve,bhs pcv & handling & brake mods too

from what i gather the twintake becomes a restriction above KO4 Stage 2+ outputs.
With injectors i dont think they will be needed. iirc Keith @APR was running about 420Hp on his stage 3 golf R and thats still on stock KO4 injectors. I guess it depends on the mapping method.

Was thinking of chopping in the ed30 & getting a mk5 r32 then turbo it but I bloody fell off my chair after seeing the prices of turbo kits & supercharger kits for the r32...you talking around 8grand minimum for the base kit

So I'm going to stick with the Eddy & get a wavetrac diff & seriously considering a hybrid after the diff

380bhp & 450lb/ft is possible with just a stock K04 turbo and WMI - proven on JKM's rollers. The fact that this spins the wheels in 4th in the dry, you couldnt possibly want any more power in a FWD. . . .
A damn sight cheaper than a hybrid turbo at £200 + an R-Tech custom map :happy2:
Heres the graph:
