Title: Dealer Servicing?
Post by: Northerner on November 30, 2012, 02:36:06 pm
As my car is due a service (@78K), not sure whether its worth getting serviced at the dealers to maintain the full main dealer history or start taking it to a specialist like Statlers for the servicing.

Views welcome.

A Golf isn't really something that's complicated and needs special main dealer servicing. In most cases the independant specialist will do a better job, as long as you keep a receipt file then most buyers won't (in general) be concerned.

If you have the option of taking it to somewhere like Statller then at almost 80k and no warranty, it's a no brainer  :happy2:

Statller will do a better job than a dealer and they will be cheaper. I started taking my Cupra there whilst it was still in warranty and my .:R goes there also. If out of warranty I wouldn't let a dealer near my motor.
