I saw a GTi advertised on here in the for sale section and in its description, they mention that the car has a subwoofer under the passenger seat.
Please, can someone tell me more.
Thanks

I was wondering this also, isit possible to fit one in the wheel well like a few cars do from the factory? Do vw do this sort of thing?

Volvo, annoyingly took the option away from the P2 S60's of having a sub/amplifier fitted in the boot. That was just left for the V70's. Grrrr.
But I am sure, the advert that I saw, the person mentions it was part of the 'Sound pack'?

Don't think a sub would go under the seat in a mk5, an amp yes (have done that) but without major modding I can't see even an active sub fitting.
I had to resort to a flat Pioneer sub that lay in the boot, excellent compared to other small active subs, having experienced some of them in the past.

My bad! Just found the advert: http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,56435.0.html and yes you are absolutely right, its an amplifier not a sub.
