Title: Would loose Subframe bolts cause...
Post by: zerolag on December 01, 2012, 05:15:47 pm
Noisy interior plastics?

I've noticed recently a load more interior squeaks and rattles recently since having to shave some serious speed off for some kind overtaker.  :driver:

When I go on the brakes reasonably hard now there are some noises upfront, like stuff is shifting...

I'm going to get it checked, but wnated to check with you guys?

it's one of those things where if it crossed your mind, you might as well get the bolts changed. ECS does a kit using iirc Audi bolts that's meant to get rid of the problem. if after that you've still got squeaks and rattles then at least you know it's not your subframe

Theres an uprated 'subframe lock kit' that AKS sell.  Has the same benefit of the oem upgrade / fix with the added benefit of 'llocking' the subframe in place with collars / bushes

It's toward the end of my build thread, just heading out the door otherwise Id dig links, pics / descriptions out
