I had my Mot done passed no problem 2006 5dr GTI. :happy2:
BUT, I noticed the mot tester put a thermometer down the dip stick . He had this running for 10-15min to bring the temp up. The car was running lumpy and sounded like air drawing in the dip stick chamber :scared:. Would this damage my engine or pcv, becuse since then my boost is not brilliant, and not doing so good on fuel so i replaced my DV for a revision D. as i removed the revision C there was some oil over it, its running ok but still not good on fuel or turbo :sad1:
Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks.

it shouldn't of caused any damage as its to measure the oil temp

Dont think the tester should have aloud the car to run lumpy like that. If you have a search about the PCV test you will see why it caused the engine to run lumpy and why it now might feel low on boost.
