Title: wheel fitment!!
Post by: Howardvwgolf on June 27, 2009, 05:40:29 pm
Hi guys, Have been looking at some alloys for my mk5 gti. The wheels in question are 19x8.5 e.t 45 (5x112 obviously). They come fitted with 215/35/19 tyres. I currently have the origional 17s fitted. will i have issues with the wheels rubbing on the inside when turning?

No you wont have any rubbing when turning Howard, but you would do on your arches if you wanted to go low in the future.
My current wheels are the same spec.  :happy2:
Just one other point those tyres will have a fare bit of stretch on them. They will be fine for every day driving, but your handling will be compromised when on the limit.  :happy2:
