Does anybody know any good quality led bulbs for the number plate? I bought some of ebay about 5 weeks but one has begun flicker constantly. I tried looking on ebay for oem led lamp as well (1K8 943 021 C) but couldn't find anything.

Did they last long and to change them, do you need purchase the whole set again or are the bulbs changeable?

I had them for around 8 months. I sold them with the car ( stupid decision :ashamed: )
they arent changeable bulbs, if some of them were to pop or blow then yes you would need to order a set again.
I had my car jet wash cleaned all the time and they never messed up

^^^I've gone for them and they seem to work fine. Much brighter than the festoon type which lasted me a year.
-
I was just replacing my faulty leds with the original bulbs and unfortunately when I was pushing the holder back in I must have applied a bit too much force :/
The whole unit got pushed into the bumper lol. How do I get it out? And also, how do you install lights on the link that vw55raz sent?

See post #23 for my LED plate lights. I definately rate them and they are bright. Don't know how to retrieve your pushed in light though! I can stick a pic up here if you like or see the thread below:

Car looks nice mate.
The links don't work on that other thread; I've ordered the other lights from the 2nd post on this.

Cool. Enjoy! Definately gives the car a lovely look.

I've had these since day one, no problems, even without the resister blocks.

Quite expensive at £26. But at the end of the day you do pay for quality (most of the time)

Mine were £20 when I got them with Free PnP. not that much difference but for £20 it was worth a go.

I bought some for around £26 off a company as recommended on one thread on the forum. They were ridiculously bright, I had comments from people who had been driving behind me that they couldn't read the number plate because of the glare from the LED's. I ended up cutting each 12V feed and banging a resistor in each line which toned them down a bit. Just about right now. :happy2:

Xtec ones off eBay... Perfect.

Any pics? I think the one's I ordered now might be too bright seeing as they have 18 leds in each side.
