I never got any, but those fake stickers for blank buttons looked like fun. Especially the 'ejector seat' and 'oil slick' ones!

Grabbed a couple of those stickers from ebay... haven't arrived yet though.

Has anyone mentioned the boot bump release thing.  Comes into around £50 with the three parts required:

2 x 6Y0 827 550 C (Skoda Fabia Gas struts)
2 x 1K8 827 761 C (Scirocco bump stops)
2 x 1J6 827 439 A (Seat Leon ball pins)

Please double check part numbers.. There's a guy on ebay that does them; namely: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/number1forskoda/

Part numbers are fine for the boot pop.

From something I posted the other day.........

I'd add the boot pop mod' to your car. Not only is it very cool but also (the main point for you) it adds much larger Pump Stops (these are also sprung) which will more than take up any play in the boot as they are adjustable. You could always just get the stops alone, swap them out and job done, takes about 2 minutes.

Boot Pop Kit Part Numbers

2x Skoda Fabia Gas Struts                    6Y0 827 550 C      £35.98 inc Vat for the pair
2x Scirocco (sprung) Pump stops          1K8 827 761 D.     £9.89 inc Vat for the pair. Bits that you need most!
2x Seat Leon Ball pins                           1J6 827 439 A     £11.97 inc Vat for the pair.

A "How to" guide on fitting the Boot Pop Kit (includes fitting bump stops).......

http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edoc/MK5RearHatchPop.pdf

If you go for the Boot Pop it will need coding via VCDS afterwards to allow the mod' to work.

Hope this helps

Ah good point there!  the ebay skoda guys does the Seat pins for £10.99 now btw... not a big diff but worth noting.  However, I've not yet received either from him.. will have to check back with him soon.

Little bit off topic....does anyone know if you can replace the inside door handles / grips, when i bought the car they were a little bit scuffed and marked. Just wanted to know if anyone knew or can find out the part code for drivers and passengers side. Thanks Guys

3 or 5 door?

They are available from eBay and from the VW Main dealers.

eBay are more expensive but it saves leaving the comfort of the sofa. Loads of different part numbers as different colours are available. Try these ones, if they are not the right ones then PM and I will look through ETKA later for you and give you the correct part numbers, saves spamming this thread.

Title: Re: Best Mods for under £50.00..

It's not hard, just a bit fiddly. You'll need to get the car on axle stands or ramps and work from underneath. Worth it to save £105.60 - that's crazy!

I'f you have basic mechanical knowledge it's not too bad.. It's getting to it that's the hardest part. Luckily a friend of mine who's a mechanic checked mine for free, he got it on the ramp though, took him about 15mins but was still a bit faffy on the ramp.

£105 Is ridiculous. If you're not confident on doing it yourself, I'm sure a specialist garage would do it for a hell of a lot cheaper than that  :happy2:

its all a lot of b@ll@cks mate, im as rural as you and have no problems, royal mail delivers everywhere, they cant be bothered telling their computers to charge more for that postcode as in their eyes it aint even worth the bother
