Hi guys, did a search but didn't really draw any answers at the end.
I have an annoying harsh knock from driver side front suspension over rough roads and cats eyes, even the odd white line makes it knock.
Had it for a year now or so and Changed the top mounts last spring, fitted a brand new coilover kit and shorter drop links at the same time and its has still been there. Had it to a few mechanicaly minded mates and they can't find anything :(. Its getting worse as of late.
Doing my head in lol. Also checked subframe bolts and they were dead tight. Please can someone help, don't want to waste money changing things that done need changed

Very common on MK5 Golfs. New upper mount bearings sorted my first gti
Getting B12 suspension and new mounts & bearings next week on my eddy. Hopefully that should sort it
Your problem may be ball joints? I'd replace the front bolts & add spacers for the sake of a tenner

Check the steering rack, I fit loads
put it on the ramp and bash the tie rods from underneath with the back on your hand if the rack knocks its Fuxxed
You'll still not feel any play lock to lock etc
