How much power/tourque is the standard gti clutch good for?? Is it the same clutch that's in ed30s??
-
It would take a lot of power alone to ruin the clutch ( S3 has 260bhp on the same clutch), its the torque that kills them :sad1:
My Stg1 GTI is slipping the clutch and has 311lb/ft torque. Not sure on the exact figures it can handle but basically if you remap your car, expect your clutch to slip after a while
Yes, all S3's, Golf R, Ed30's have the same clutch

You sure it can take that much Greame?? I've got clutch slip on a standard car :signLOL:

I'm Revo Stage 1 with 253 bhp & 301 lb/ft, and I've never had clutch slip.
My first mk5 was PDT stage 1 with 240bhp & 295 lb/ft, and no problems there either.
