Title: Back to the golf, but my first GTI
Post by: adder501 on December 11, 2012, 09:55:03 pm
Hi Guys,

I recently have moved back to the golf after a couple of years with other cars. This is my 3rd golf but my first GTI.

I purchased it 9 months ago now and thought i better get involved on a forum. Its a mk5 07 black GTi with FVWSH and only 36K on the clock.

Always puts a smile on my face either driving to/from work or out and about on the weekend.

Im looking forward to making a couple of mods over the next couple of months as i believe it's a basic model but its a great blank canvas.

Cheers

Firstly planning on getting the front splitter, side shirts and rear valance colour coded but need to shop around to get some decent quotes Its using 17" Monza wheels at present but i'm thinking i could treat myself to a set of maybe 18" BBS for summer use and perhaps some coil overs next year. I'd love to change the Audio system also as it only has the basic radio CD system fitted. Theres so many things id like to do to it.

As i said its a canvas but i have another project thats been in the making for almost 6 years so thats the money pit at the minute.

Im based in Shropshire (Telford/Wolves/Cannock) area is anyone else local?

Getting the hand of this.

Here's a half clean one. I use Poorboys products, this is sealed with EX.

Its not usually like this. It gets the works maybe 3 or 4 times per year. Its a daily drive that does around 300 miles per week just back and forward to work.

Yeah i know Stourbridge i'm just out of Wolves in the sticks towards Telford.

That's a lot of miles! Mines about 150 miles, and that's if I drive everyday because I can't b bothered to use the train!
