after inters and reading threads on here whats with blue wheels ????? imo they look  :sick: are they suppose to be like that or are some re finnishers getting it all wrong !!!!!!!!

I think a lot of it has to do with the people that are spraying the wheels  :happy2:

i think it was me that first dared to say they looked slightly blue. it was only a genuine observation, then matt agreed. and the rest is history!

I like them so thats all that matters.

In fareness, Candy, your pictures youve posted look nothing like in real life, photo's are not the best way of showing a colour, depending on cam spec, light conditions and showing yours in a dark garage makes them look darker, and the other pic it looks lighter.

Strange that in our convo's sunday, you never mentioned it :surprised:, I think they are a closer match to the carbon wraps then other "Anthracite Greys" tbh.

No you havent at all mate. Mine are not technically Anthracite Grey. They are a different colour, and has a paint name, which i will find out tommorow from A1 powedercoatings what it is, and let you know its correct name.
I was told it, but cant remember. 2 Other forum members want to know so they want to get their pescara's done at the same paint shop.
(hopefully not the same colour as mine i might add). Hopefully each person wants to keeps theirs looking individual which is one of the aims in Personalising your car. :happy2:

Even SteveP's alloys are a different shade to yours candy, so each paint mix will come out different in some respects.

wanabe car birds are one thing that puts me off car shows.. i dont understand how these companies always seem to find the ugliest birds to model! probs cos they cheap (but not cheerful)  :sick:

But as already said, who give's two sh$ts if your happy with them!  :wink: We all do stuff that isn't to everyones taste's and I for one do what I do to my car because it's my taste and know one else's!

Indeed you do! There was a red TT on one of the traders stands with Black wheels/Red lip and it looked the shizzle!  :wink:

I actually liked the rims. The blue tint of the rims made them different and definitely a lot better than if they had been pure black.

I agree the carbon wraps on the car also have a slight blue tint, so it matches nicely.

We all have different standards of what we like and would rather shove something over the head to think of something to match the figure  :signLOL: :signLOL:


Ok Back of the Subject of  Blue alloys  :signLOL:.
The alloy colour is known as "Boron", which is its Paint name by International powder charts. It isnt Dark Anthracite Grey so thats why it doesnt look the same as others that have done Anthracite, and reacts more with different light then Dark grey Anthracite does.

Hope this clears peoples worries on Different coloured Anthracites  :drinking:

yes "boren " i should have realized !!!!!  silly me  :ashamed:  i think thats why i never noticed earlier in the day cause the blue shines out in the sun and the passenger side was in the shadow of the car next to it
