What would peoe suggest is the best map for my leon cupra?
The car will have a cat back exhaust and intake when it is mapped!
Im just torn between the 2 and even after hearing the info on the 2 im still stuck.
What map would you choose and why?
I will be going for above stage 1 but not for a while.
-
oh ohh...
-
R-Tech
(i'm not trying to start an argument just trying to point out that if you ask ten different people you're likely to get ten different answers)
-
I dont want to start a massive debate im just stressing trying to find all the info i want and upto now giac seems the best bet and also what everyone ive asked has recommended.
As for the rtech map i allready sorted where my car will be getting tuned so thats a no no

I personally didn't really like my giac stage 1 map the throttle was a bit on / off and made it a little annoying to drive. However moving to giac stage 2 - 2+ was a great map, infact I prefer it to the revo stage 2- 2+ software,
-
Where are you based?
If it has to be between REVO and GIAC i would go for REVO
But if you can be persuaded to go else where, APR
-
Im in sheffield, i decided to go giac and theres no going back now as its been done as i write this :happy2:
-
I would have gone revo
-
I wouldnt go GIAC myself purely based on the fact that its an unknown at the moment. Theres not many guys in the UK running this that i have seen on the forums, so its difficult to gauge the quality and performance.
If that were to change then it would become an option for me IMO.
-
I went Revo.
Let us know how you get on!
-
I will do! The cars been tuned at statllers in sheffield so its in good hands, i havnt seen much about giac but from what i can see its all good!
Another good thing is my father in law has the same car but with itg intake and revo software so ill be able to compare lol
-
GIAC tend to go a little more aggressive than Revo. I've had both on the Golf R and the GIAC map is definitely stronger. Whether this will affect the reliability of the car I don't know, but I doubt it as the engine is bl00dy strong and can take a lot more than stage 2+ without internals.

....Whether Revo or GIAC, Statllers is the important factor. I was going to suggest them when you mentioned you were around Sheffield earlier in your thread.

@Sam89 - Initial thoughts on the GIAC map? My car is also booked into Statlers in the New Year for a remap so any feedback is welcome.
-
R-Tech or Jabbasport for a proper custom map both within 2 hours of Sheffield :happy2:

....As the OP is in/near Sheffield then Statller is much closer than a 2hr drive and also Statller do much more than just tuning.

Had the giac map yesterday and all i can say is wow! Ive drove the revo on my dads cupra and i would choose giac all day long, car is drivable and so smooth but as soon as you tool it its a whole different story, what a difference!

out of interest can i ask how much statlets charged?
