Hi all, I've been the proud owner of a black 2007 GTI for the past 3 years and have been giving it a few tweaks recently and thought it would be a good time to join in the fun on the forum.

As it stands, the car has had fitted:

ITG Maxogen Cold Air Intake
Milltek Cat-back R32 style exhaust
R32 rear bumper valence
R32 rear lights
Riva RSX 18 inch wheels
H & R Sport springs

On Friday it is getting a stage 2 APR remap at Awesome GTI along with a Forge Diverter Valve and Milltek downpipe and sport-cat.

I really do need to get my finger out and take a few shots of the car (looks pretty nice with the R32 rear end), and I have no excuse really when I'm a professional photographer! (though I'm not a car/commercial photographer, I mainly shoot weddings!)

I'll be sure to update on how the car feels with the extra power after Friday!

Sounds like a nice motor, shame on you for the lack of pics given your profession.  :worthless:

OEM Revision G DV will hold boost as well (if not better) than the shiney Forge one, something to think on and its about £130 cheaper as well and no further maintenance unlike the Forge one.

Thanks for the info there, does the OEM one sound the same as the Forge one?

^^^^ TBH the sound of all the Divertor Valves (OEM and aftermarket) will be the same, its more important regards holding boost and not leaking and as your running the ITG Maxogen (better known as Darth Vader) I doubt you'll hear anything from the DV other than the usual noise over all that "whoosh dish"  :laugh:

Ah I see, for some reason I thought it might give the Maxogen more of a 'flutter' sound instead of the woooosh - pshhh sound lol, never mind then! I'll speak to Awesome GTI about it and see what they say, if I have to lube the Forge valve and the OEM one doesn't need any maintenance and does the same job I guess I'll just go with the OEM.

So had the stage 2 APR remap last week, but due to the non-stop rain we've been having in the past week I haven't had the chance to give it a good test out on a dry road yet! In the wet the wheels spin a lot more easily than before so it's been a bit of a learning curve in being able to moderate the power! It does drive a lot more smoothly though and once it's past 4th gear you can really feel the extra torque.

I'm heading back to Awesome GTI in the morning to have a WALK fitted along with wheel alignment and a dyno run. I'm not sure the car feels like it's got more than 50 extra bhp though after the remap, but will report back with the results!

Once the weather has cleared up a bit and I've given the car a good clean I'll get out with my camera!
