I work for the NHS, in an office a little distance away from the main building, park really close to my office. I was last to leave tonight will ask arround tomorrow; had a quick look round for CCTV but not sure if it will have seen, will call security and ask for it to be reviewed. Anyone know a good bodyshop in Lancashire Preston ish and an idea of price?

Sorry to see this, just scum....
Happened to a guy that had came along to his first SVAG meet last week when we were parked up. young lad reversed out the space and hit his car and proceeded to drive of. Without thinking i used my car to block his way from the carpark and he almost hit me! He was driving an old K10 micra so wouldnt have bothered to much about it. He then called daddy.
just crazy!!!
Hope you get if fixed and its a good job.
Iain

....

Ferking Hell!! That's sh*tty!

Best thing to do is get it repaired absolutely as soon as you possibly can and then forget it totally and continue enjoying your car.

Mate, know the feeling.

A few months back, I was walking back to my car. Noticed a red plastic thing stuck my rear wheel. Thought it was some choc bar wrapper or something.

Took a closer look and peeled it off - it was paint! All the layers including the primer. Someone had reversed into me, scratched the car above the arch (which I can't polish out despite painting over it).

Gutting.

The sooner you get it sorted, the less painful it is.

tell the bodyshop you are willing to pay a bit more for a good job. so if it comes back with orange peel, bad paint match or anything like that you can send it straight back to them to do it again.

i feel for you mate, i cant imagine howd id feel. I hope it all works ok in the end.

With regards to CCTV, if someone hit your car (and knew it) then drove off with out leaving a note etc, could they be prosecuted for leaving the scene? You would have video evidence, with the reg etc...
Dont know why i thought of that really??

Really feel for you.

Something similar happened to me 3 yrs ago in my Ibia (was a month old with less than 1k on the clock) and I was very fortunate to see the person do it (or see my car go flying) and chased them down.

wanted to open a can of whoop ass on him sadly he was a very big chappy all round - although he wanted to hit me for the pleasure of him driving into my car.  :fighting: :fighting:

Hope it gets sorted soon.  if their are cameras in the area and secuirty are not much help you can try the police

I'd claim on the insurance and get a quality repair job.  You might pay an £100 extra on your premium next year but its not the end of the world.  My girlfriend wrote off my second car last year and lost me all my no claims and left me with a claim on my policy.  Just renewed with 1 yrs ncb, a claim, 27 years of age with 18" monza's, colour coded, ed30 rear bumper and black vw badge for £660 all in.  Mate has had 2 claims for bumps and his policy still went down both times.  Insurance is there for a reason and it doesn't mean your premium will rocket.
