Title: RCD 510 and Phone

Phone works through the unit and can use the number pad or recent call list to dial and make calls however.  When using the phonebook it displays the numbers as gibberish and says dial failed.

The bluetooth kit purchased is 5KO from SteveP.

Any suggestions?

some versions of the RCD510 are to blame for this

I sold and fitted a kit to MC71 car and the same thing happend. I swopped several modules and it still did it, then tried the same module and his phone in my car with RNS and no issue

^^^^ works fine Eddie when using the Recent Call List or the preset numbers but not from the Phone Book List. I only ever phone a couple of numbers while driving, receives ALL calls fine and displays ALL the the caller ID's fine. It knows (the RCD510) those numbers and recognises them, matches them with the numbers in the Phone Book but still can't use those numbers from the Phone Book, most strange.  :confused:

I am using an iPhone, not sure what your using, I really must try another type of phone and see if it works through the Phone Book.

Have exactly the same problem, i was using a Nokia E71 now using an Iphone 4s and the problem is still the same.

push the boat out even further with an RNS510DAB :signLOL:
