I've been having an issue with the DSG paddles on my Edition30 for a few weeks now. I havent posted anything about it up until now as the problem goes away sometimes.
Basically every now and again the paddles, especially the down/-, refuse to work. It is really annoying when planning an overtake or wanting some engine breaking effect on a hill etc.
I can imagine a paddle becoming faulty but is it likely that both could fail? Is there a controller for the paddles which could have failed? On VCDS im getting steering wheel fault codes relating to intermittent paddle function.
I bet the paddles or controller are expensive..... :scared:
Cheers

I have no idea as to what the issue may be and will leave that to someone more knowledgeable.
However, does the car still shift on command if you use the gear stick instead of the paddles?
Dan.

Easy fix. Ill tell you how when I get to my computer. It will cost you about 60 quid to fix it. :-)

Yeah shifting with the stick is faultless, i just dont like doing it!
Rich - a thankyou will be in order :happy2:

....Me neither but in your case it now proves that the DSG box of tricks itself is almost certainly ok and it confirms by the process of elimination that the fault is down to the paddles.
