Title: Battery Charging
Post by: b16vrg on December 21, 2012, 08:52:48 pm
Went to go out in the golf this morning and the car struggled to start, but after a run it was ok. So thought i'd stick the charger on tonight just to give it a pick-me-up but do i have to disconnect the battery or can i just connect the charger and leave it? I normally disconnect it but just feeling lazy

Should be fine left connected. My motorbike is still connected and has been on an Optimate for a couple of months already so far.

Unless you have one of the newer smart type chargers, best to disconnect the battery negative terminal then connect your charger.
