Title: Ice lolly / lolly ice.
Post by: swgti on December 24, 2012, 11:45:29 am
Things are a bit slow in the office today and a huge argument has just erupted after someone referred to (what I call) an Ice lolly as a lolly ice....wtf!!!!!!

What's your take on it? said person is from the Merseyside area and swears this is the correct term, I beg to differ.

The best one was when Steven Gerrard was interviewed and asked what his favourite cheese was. He replied "melted".

I've always loved that quote. Remember when Ian Rush said ""I couldn't settle in Italy. It was like living in a foreign country".

Question is, is a FAB an Ice Lolly or a Choc ice?  There is a certain percentage of choc to ice, probably in the favour of the ice TBF, but the naming convention is different... wow curve ball.  :rolleye:

Good question.

My opinion is an Ice Lolly as by definition the majority ingredient of a Choc ice is chocolate.

Just so we are clear. A Jaffa Cake is a Cake - lets not bring the innocent into this!

And what about the good old Mr Freeze? I'd call them an ice pole, but sure there will be variants to this as well!?!
