Title: Headlight adjustment
Post by: craig_t on December 28, 2012, 09:47:10 am
Iv been doing some research into adjusting my headlights as every time I go out in the dark I get people flashing me as they think I have my high beems on. This can only be my headlights are set to high.

I know they have a self levelling system, but they can be adjusted. I found there is some confusing wether you need vag com to do it, or you can just use the adjustment screw in the headlight.

Can anyone clear this up. I was going to adjust the screw with my car parked up close to a wall just to stop other cars getting annoyed :)

I had the same problem mate and had to take it to a mates garage. He said you can adjust manually but it will reset to the same setting unless he plugged it into his laptop :happy2:

I just adjusted the lights. Seems to be ok. Once I adjusted them I left it half hour or so to check it hadn't gone back to what they were like.
