Title: Someone's just keyed my sister's brand new SLK
Post by: sub39h on December 30, 2012, 12:19:43 pm
my sister went to a house party at her mates in north London last ngiht. she's due to meet me in central for lunch and i've just got a frantic phone call saying that her bonnet, boot and driver's door have been keyed, including a massive star on the boot. she was parked on her mate's driveway.

she's had the car less than 6 months. i'm flipping furious. this kind of thing is far too common in the UK. why don't people have any f*cking respect for other peoples' property? i work for the NHS because i've always believed that if you have the ability to help other people it's your responsibility to do so, but sometimes i wonder why i even bother! it's not as if others would do the same for me or anyone else.

rant over. at least the car's black so it's not gonna need blending etc. i've told her to ring the police.

The punishment for that crime would be minimal , if they had done twenty cars they might get 2 months in prison but only if all other punishments had been considered . We are so pathetic at detering our criminal element that things will never improve , privately funded vigalante groups/squads , now there's a thought

That sounds like a plan. They will get a slap on the wrist for that.

You work your ass of to earn a decent living to provide decent cars/houses etc for some c{}t to try ruin it for you. It will never be the same now she knows its been done. Wankers.

It is all these type of people understand , find them and punish them with pain is the only answer . They have little understanding of anything else and prison is a status symbol for them nowadays .

This isn't a case of random kids looking for trouble, this is a case of jealousy. This is also why if I'm going to a house party, and I happen to be driving there, I park my car a couple of streets away so that no one knows it belongs to me, and it's in a location where the party revellers wouldn't go past on their way home.

Gotta think about these things these days I'm afraid.

Got a female friend who had paint thrown over her white a3 convertible. Again, more jealousy, they never vandalised her Astra after all the years of it being parked outside her house

Have either of you seen Outlaw? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758771/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758771/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2)

Pretty much what they did  :happy2:

I hate this type of crime, it has no logical thought

At least if they steel the car to sell or break, that has a purpose. In most cases the scumbags that do this don't know the owner of the car and is done for a laugh

My old passat was keyed 3x times, the last time i didn't bother having it repaired
the golf got done too

I hate anything like this , its part of the British mentality I could live without , the people who do this kind of thing are knuckle dragging scum who will never own anything decent in their whole sorry life - unfortunately they will have about 4 brats who will be dragged up to do the same thing. I wonder if this happens in other countries or is it just Britain that has these effing morons wasting valuable oxygen? I suggest finding the culprit , tying one arm to an R32 and the other to a GTI and doing a 0-60 test in oposite directions......  :fighting:

I'm sorry to read this and can understand how upsetting it will be for her.
As others have said this is a pure case of jealousy.
A lot of the population think they should have everything and deserve too its their right. If someone has something better than them, they will smash it.
It is also the monkey moron mentality they have, they think it makes them look clever to their mates.
This is why I don't own a Ferarri, Porsche or similar as its not worth the trouble in the UK.
Expensive cars don't get you respect (look he's worked hard to earn that) all you get in the UK is resentment out of a lot of the population sadly.
This is why I run two cars. A reasonable car and also a normal car which I leave places without worrying about it.

I would agree with you 100%, having something like a 911 can often be more hassle than its worth.

I think some might be jealous, but I have seen old bangers trashed too

when the scumbags did my golf there were 10x other cars done on the road

I guess they get tanked up, and that impairs their already impaired judgement even further

apparently her mate's two family cars were keyed too. i've seen the car now and whilst it isn't quite as bad as i was expecting from her phone call, it's still pretty horrific. 5 or 6 deep gouges 12 inches in length on the driver's door, 15+ on the boot up to a couple of feet in length and 3 or 4 on the bonnet about a foot long. thankfully it's only 3 panels and the others are all fine.

must have been a trouble maker at the party, so purely done out of spite towards the hosts and my sister's car just got caught in the crossfire.

a thank you to Hertfordshire Constabulary who actually sent out a unit to look at the cars and dust for finger prints. far better than Birmingham's Finest who actually told me they "didn't have time" to review the CCTV footage in the car park where my car was parked (in direct sight of a camera) when it was keyed a couple of years ago.
