Well... i wont be using them again.
Every time i wash my car I notice more chips on my alloys. Just noticed 2 massive ones on the face of the wheel today (i.e. not curb damage)
Powder coat anthracite next time....
-
My powder coated winter ones have been great! The idiots at ATS chipped them in a few places whilst attempting to do the tracking! Going to get my summers done soon, cant wait!
-
time for a new sig Rich???
Over the past 5 years or so, Lepsons have refurbished at least 6 sets of wheels for me and each time the quality has been fantastic. Have you spoken to them about the situ?
-
Had the done over a year ago... doubt they would be interested.
-
Hardly a lifetime ago then. I'd give them a call if I were you - they have an opportunity to turn a negative thread into a positive one (if they care of course...)
-
TBH... cant be bothered. Ill just vote with my feet and not use them again. They are a 3 hour round trip from me, and would need to source some spare wheels.. IF they even took the time to agree to redo them.
-
What are you washing your wheels in? brake paint cracked, alloy finish weakened :signLOL: JOKING
As Gareth said, best give them a call, I know A1 said if the lacquer failed on my Monza's they would re cut the face and re-lacquer for £FREE
hopefully Lepsons would offer to do the same, they are hardly bargain basement price so should look after their customers

What can I say.... people just dish out sh*tty work. :popcornsoda:

You know paint isn't a forcefield that stops stone chips?
The roads are full of grit and small stones these days Rich, it's bound to happen over winter.
-
richwig83 sorry to hear about your wheels. Hope they get sorted.

What?..... you mean.....?
Gonna get them powdercoated gun metal next year... more resilient and hides the dirt better. :happy2:

When Lepson's tried to do my wheels earlier in the year, they managed to complete 3 wheels without any issue what so ever. The forth though was a different story, it started off with what looked like wet patches, then they tried a 'patch repair' which looked and felt poor, so back it went to come back with run's in the powder coating!
The only 'good' thing about this pi$$ poor company is Chris who deals with the customer goods in/out. He was a real pleasure to deal with and honestly wanted to get it sorted.
You pay a premium with this shoddy place for an 75-80% job, wrong and wont be going back or recommending them to anyone.
