Title: Still massively stuck... Brakes...
Post by: Veee-dubber on December 30, 2012, 02:19:06 pm
Hi all!

Still really stuck on this issue hoping someone can shed some light and basically spoon feed me the information as I simply do not know, & for the life of me I can't seem to find out...

Basically my brakes on my 2.0 GT Sport are shot to pieces    :scared:... I want to upgrade to the GTi Discs and pads which i'm told are a direct fit the fronts being 312mm and rears 286mm.

I have been looking at these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260880927790?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_2472wt_970

Is this all I need? Do I need carriers? or anything else or can I literally buy these and fit them?

Also can anyone vouch for the quality of these? Is it worth getting better rear discs also... Is there a set up someone can reccomend?

Basically I need an Idiots guide to this as im a Ejit!!!

Help meee :)

if  you are upgrading your brakes to gti ones you just need to change the carriers
