Hi.
Thinking about swopping my 18" Monzas for some 30 edition alloys preferably in anthesite rather than refurbish my others. I was wondering if the tyres were interchangeable as I have four new tyres at the moment. What would be a good price for the 30's & what is the difference between the 30's & the audi/pascara/vz? Lastly how much would my Monza's be worth?
Many thanks

Tyres are definitely interchangeable. For good second-hand ones expect to pay around £400 without tyres. Differences between VW Pescara's and the BBS VZ/AUDI ones is the offset/rim width/Motorsport writing. BBS VZ/Audi offset is lower so will stick out more (IMO the right amount) and fill the arches perfectly. I think the original BBS ones have the Motorsport logos also, whereas the VW Pescara and Audi ones don't (Still made by BBS I believe)
Widths are:
BBS VZ 8"
VW Pescara 7.5"
Audi 7.5"
You'd be best off keeping an eye out for a refurbed set if you're after Anthracite. As for your Monza's, depends on condition. Get some pics up :happy2:
Oh and if you can stretch to these this price is amazing. Won't see new ones come up this cheap very often. I think I'm right on the info above but if not I'm sure someone will be along to correct me

there are 3 (possibly 4) different types of VAG CH style wheels:
1. Edition 30 Pescaras 18x7.5 ET51
2. VW Accessories "Rockingham" wheels, although I am unclear how they differ with Pescaras 18x7.5 ET51
3. Audi 14 Spoke S-Line wheels (A3 only) 18x7.5 ET54
4. Audi 14 spoke S-Line wheels (A4 only in UK markets, possibly A6 as well in others) 18x8 ET43
all of the above have interchangable centre caps (but will NOT fit BBS centre caps) and they all fit the Mk5 with no need for new bolts or anything else. to my eyes they ALL look silver, tho the Ed30 versions are apparently a smoked chrome colour.
Aftermarket you have the BBS VZ. these are 18x8 ET44. they also are a straight fit onto the Mk5 with no need for new bolts, but they only accept the BBS centre caps. the VZs were previously available in Titanium, but due to paint issues the current batch are silver only
the OEM 225/40R18 tyres will fit on all of the above with no issues whatsoever. they don't look stretched.
for my money, VZs are the only ones to have. they have the looks of the A4 ones, but are 2kg lighter EACH. they are about 1kg lighter each than the Mk5/A3 versions too. plus you'll get them brand new whereas all the others are either £1400 new from a dealer or 2nd hand only.

Thanks for the fast replies.
They don't have to be anthesite and unfortunately £610 is too much for me so I will have to try and find some secondhand ones now I have this info.
As for my alloys there is no curbing but the lacquer has lifted.
Thanks once again for all your help.

Now worries. I just thought if you were using the search function on this, or other sites, it would help to spell it correctly.

Hi
Finally managed to get a set of alloys. Hopefully getting tyres swopped over at weekend. Just wondering if you could give me a rough idea what my 18" Monza's would be worth? No kerbing but water has lifted the laquer on the polished faces. Grey inserts are fine and come without tyres.

Try saying "Beer Can" without sounding like a Jamaican saying "Bacon"
