Middle follower... been in a car (audi a4 2.0T DTM) for 5k.  :scared:

 What would cause that?

This is a pic of the cam itself.

				Has that HPFP been uprated?

-
Yes.. just waiting to hear back whether its APR or internals. (im guessing its internals)

-
Is that cam smooth to the touch?

-
U can tell wether its an apr or just internals by looking at the size of the piston inside the pump. Apr has a larger one and is machined out.

-
Ahh... this might have been the reason!!!

 Rev. A camshaft.

I'm afraid it's not an uncommon occurrence.

I had to replace a cambucket at 3000km's. There were some bad cam buckets rev F I think that was problematic. But other cars I have seen no wear at 15000km's with APR pump as well.

But I guess it most likely will end up being the Camshaft if I'm not mistaken.

Deffo on the early cam that A4 is.  What year is the car?

-
Not sure mate... 05/06 at a guess.

Im shocked at how much that cam has worn...  :surprised:
