Ive been stalking the forum for a few months now while ive been looking to buy a golf and seeing what to look out for, my original aim was to buy a higher mileage one so i didnt destroy my bank but i found this 36k 2006 one in a VW dealer 12miles from home and i couldn't resist, went to see it, drove it and it was beautiful so deposit went down then i had to wait a week over crimbo so i could pick it up. Came with 6 months ticket, 12month MOT, a service and they had it valeted.

its bloody lovely, and very fast for a standard car, I am impressed. I'm gonna get lazy having auto everything though. It'll be standard for a little bit as i don't want void the warranty straight away. Plans are a nice set of either 18" or 19" wheels, miltek cat back exhaust, dual air intake and insanely low followed by a stage1+ map. :drinking:

Oh yeah i collected it on friday, and its been heaving so these are the only pics i have which i took today.

Cheers bud!

Bestest colour!

Welcome, and a great find. You won't regret the car. Puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. Enjoy!
-
Yeah it makes me grin too much, i had a 106 gti before this and i didn't think this would match the fun levels but it destroys them by a long shot! Currently using a Mk2 gti aswell but thats for sale as this is the daily. Only doing around 6k miles a year so itll stay as a low mileage car! Thanks for the welcomes.

Nice One! Good looking standard car.
Silver really is growing on me!
Are you keeping her original?
-
I wasn't keen for silver at first until i saw this one, when i went to test drive it, i had a look around and then i was told it was sold, was so gutted, so i was in search of another silver one then VW phoned me and said it was available again so i snapped it up.
I have a few plans for it, nothing silly (except the lows) lowered, nice set of 18"/19" wheels, exhaust, induction and a stage 1+ map. That'll do nicely. Although i tend to get hooked when modifying so ill probably do more :signLOL:
I was gonna paint the rear bumper, but the black is growing on me so i think thatll be staying as it is, it works well with the black skirts i think.
Cheers for the love
