Title: Car cutting out at low revs :(
Post by: RobboGTI on January 02, 2013, 06:27:32 pm
Hi, just recently had this problem, first started Saturday evening at low rpm the revs will just die and car cuts out, start the car again and it fires up for a short while until it cuts out again.
Had to drive to my destination in a low gear at high rpm :(
Sunday morning comes and I drive home, everything is fine.
This evening the fault has come back again on my way back from the gym.

I'm going to guess its a faulty fuel pressure sensor but would like someone to confirm and if possible part number and price for this.
Also is this an easy one to change for myself?
The car is an 05 DSG if that makes any difference

Thank you

Anybody?

Gonna put a fault code reader on it and see what comes up anyway. Meanwhile on the bike to and from work in the bloody rain :(

its around £45-50 from TPS. This is the 1 on the side of the HPFP.

It also could be the PCV as at VW they had a car that kepted cutting out on the motorway and they replaced the PCV, as the source of the problem
