Does anyone know the Part number for the red grill strip?  :ashamed: :party:

I'm pretty sure it's been mentioned that you can't buy just the red strip on it's own, you have to replace the whole grill.

i also need one. As mentioned, it is only available if you buy the whole grille.

I have sent an email off to VW UK customer services asking them to speak to the Parts Support Team to see if the part can be made available for purchase.

I have also mentioned that 100+ members on here are willing to email VW customers services in order to add strength to the request as the fading stripe is a common problem.

Would fellow members indeed be willing to send emails individually to VW UK with the same request if needs be??

Deffo can not be bought on its own. Can be removed though. If your that desperate your cheapest option would be to wrapit. If your not bothered about that then next would be buy one of the copies from ebay, any will do and just remove the strip. Think i've seen the cheapest at around £40

Just buy a 1" roll of vinyl car stripe in the colour of your choice.

Take your old one out and wrap it.  :happy2:

I did mine in silver. Bought a 6m roll on eBay for a few quid.  :wink:

Even used it as a backing for my rear badge. Cheap as chips mod  :laugh:

Monte i wanted to do this to mine but just couldnt find the shade needed, would you be able to supply me with a link and fingers crossed i can contact them to see if they have anything to match my steel grey

TBH Nathan, You just have to pick a near enough colour.  The silver I bought is quite far off the Reflex silver paint but you can get away with it.

As for the supplier, I really cant say.  :ashamed:

I know it was from eBay, but it was a long time ago.

Glad I've seen this thread.

Mine has faded a bit over time so now I know it  detatches I can get it re- painted.
