Title: fog light bulbs
Post by: scooba on January 05, 2013, 10:04:21 am
Hi

I am sorry I'm sure this has already been answered before fog light bulbs and the colour , We have a ED30 with Xenons  nice and blue in colour the fog lights are std vw bulbs and look very yellow, Is there a replacement bulb  that is more near to the xenon colour I can fit without any bulb warning light issues    , The Car is May 2008 if that makes any difference and the Xenons are factory fitted with VW stock bulbs.

TIA

Your probably looking at something te Philips extreme vision or blue vision ultra.

On an 08 I would think you would have reflector bulbs which I think are HB4's I'm sure a search on here would confirm this :happy2:

Do you find any visual benefit in using your front fog lights seeing you have xenon headlights as I don't...

Ditto, hardly any benefit at all... I might change to the Blue vision lights, purely for styling...

I got some canbus LED fogs from hids direct but am yet to fit them, but I'm hoping they will match my hids. A mates changed his in his S3 and derived no tangible benefit from installing them. Hids/xenons are bright as it is.  Saying that I'm changing the fogs to yellow!

I can find a link if needed. I just wish my full beam lights were brighter than dipped!
