He means, which insert do you want. You could get the standard R 32 one which comes with that bumpers or you can get ones for the GTI exhaust which is off to the side instead of straight out the middle.
-
awww sorry i want the gti one if possible
-
as if, get the R32 end....then you will be in beast mode
-
can i have that with a gttdi? how much am i looking for one

yeah course, you just need to pick up a R32 back box, or find a exhaust maker in your area, about £200 for a decent dual output exhaust....
Then you would need the R32 Valance (bottom bit your missin) about £40 on ebay i think
-
whats it called ill have a look

so it looks like that: http://www.aylis.com/temp/r32_endgoal.jpg
Millteks can be expensive, so would try find a place near you to custom make one....
-
looks mint, so all i neednow is somone selling astandard r32 set up for time being and then the lower part of the bumper
-
I had the R32 rear end fitted a couple of months ago on my GTI (with a BCS TBE). Absolutely love it :happy2:

Need to take better pics, but tough in this weather.

I've just had my R32 valance fitted. It has Gti exhaust exit which looks great imo!

You got any pics of this not seen it before?. Where did you get the insert to fit around your gti exhaust exit?

Here you go fella, a R32 rear bumper with a GTI insert valance fitted from SRS TEC in Germany, few peeps have their stuff, good quality AFAIK and reasonable price.

Really, really like that.
-
My GTI came with a side exit R32 style bumper but it all colour coded due to it being a crappy ABS plastic eBay job as far as I can see. It looks good but I don't like having anything non OEM on the bodywork side so will be on the lookout for a genuine R32 rear and get Cobra to change my backbox to an R32 style one later this year.
Anyway, this is what it looks like

Really must pull my finger out and get mine done. :ashamed:

Just need a nice set of tailpipes and 18" BBS VZ's!
-
Srs tech do one for 169€ from Germany, I don't think osir do one. There's a thread with all the different inserts somewhere
-
Glad I stumbled across this thread, been looking for pictures of people who actually fitted the r32 but Gti exit lower halfs. Been looking to buy one for a while but been put off by the eBay ones that the centre isn't textured on!!

Is the STS-TEC diffuser a straight fit with the GTI exhaust? Or does the exhaust need to be adjusted slightly to fit?
-
Straight fit Clive, no adjustment needed :happy2:
-
It can be the case of part of the R32 lower section being in the way a bit. My friend had to do a bit of wiggling and had removed a little of the support part on the lower section of the rear bumper next to the zorst as he had 80mm end pipes and was worried about the heat causing an issue with the plastic.
Not his but the same position...

Sorry your right, I was referring to the srs tec piece. But yes you do have to trim ever so slightly the R32 bumper :happy2:
-
Not the best shots I'm afraid, but gives you an idea :happy2:

My bad! I read the question wrong but the more info the better. :happy2:
Does the SRS one have any extra heat protection on the reverse of it like on the R32 one?
-
No mate, no heat protection.
No need really :happy2:

Cheers guys. I have the R32 valance in my garage and when I offered it up to the car (with the GTI valance still in place) it looked like either the exhaust would need moved sideways or the valance would need trimmed. But you have confirmed it's the latter :happy2:
-
is the SRS black insert tectured? as i would want to paint it gloss black.
-
Here's mine in black gloss!
