Title: i won this on ebay but where can i find this missing bit rear bumper
Post by: Gazman1011 on January 08, 2013, 09:20:19 pm: guys, i just won one like this on ebay, but has the center lower bit missing as in the pic, the bit witch decides if its a r32 exhaust or gti exhause, can anyone help

He means, which insert do you want. You could get the standard R 32 one which comes with that bumpers or you can get ones for the GTI exhaust which is off to the side instead of straight out the middle. :smiley:

yeah course, you just need to pick up a R32 back box, or find a exhaust maker in your area, about £200 for a decent dual output exhaust....
Then you would need the R32 Valance (bottom bit your missin) about £40 on ebay i think

Millteks can be expensive, so would try find a place near you to custom make one....

You got any pics of this not seen it before?. Where did you get the insert to fit around your gti exhaust exit?

It looks good but I don't like having anything non OEM on the bodywork side so will be on the lookout for a genuine R32 rear and get Cobra to change my backbox to an R32 style one later this year.

Is the STS-TEC diffuser a straight fit with the GTI exhaust? Or does the exhaust need to be adjusted slightly to fit?

My friend had to do a bit of wiggling and had removed a little of the support part on the lower section of the rear bumper next to the zorst as he had 80mm end pipes and was worried about the heat causing an issue with the plastic.

Cheers guys. I have the R32 valance in my garage and when I offered it up to the car (with the GTI valance still in place) it looked like either the exhaust would need moved sideways or the valance would need trimmed. But you have confirmed it's the latter :happy2:
