Title: Phil's Candy White Mk6
Post by: phil1975 on January 09, 2013, 09:25:27 am
My new car, the red 3 door unfortunately had to go due to family health reasons I looked at various options buying a second car which was 4 door etc etc but I realised if I did that the gti would probably just not get used and I did'nt want the hassle of running 2 cars. So between christmas and new year I did a little shopping in the sales and picked this up. Just on a year old 8000 miles on the clock, lux and winter packs(should be standard on a car of this price) parking sensors, satnav and leather, would'nt have specced leather myself but as it became standard I did'nt really have a choice! Having said that I really like the leather (ask me again in the summer :signLOL:) not had leather in a car since my mondeo st200! and I'm loving the heated seats when I finish my shift at 9pm.

I love the candy white and have ordered a years supply of tardis and iron x already! Good job I enjoy cleaning my cars. Mod wise the budget has been blown for a wee while having changed cars again after only 5 months!! But I am thinking some anthracite or matt black wheels might be in order, anything has to be warranty friendly for a while.

You could argue it was madness buying a mk6 so close to the mk7 launch, but with the gti still months away and my budget being £21k I feel justified (well thats what I tell myself :signLOL:)

Hopefully this will last longer than my red 3 door, current plan is at least 3 years...........

Apologies for the picture quality I swear the sun has not been out once since I collected it! :fighting:

Nice one Phil.  :happy2:

She looks a beauty fella, you must be well chuffed. The Mk6 (and M5) is one of those cars that looks great in either of its 3dr or 5dr guises.

:signLOL: I know what your saying I'm still enjoying the novelty of having a manufacturers warranty! But when the novelty runs out......
