Title: RCD510 from a 2011 Polo GTI . What is it worth and how do I remove it?
Post by: majinvash on January 10, 2013, 07:34:43 pm
Hi

A friend of mine is selling his 2011 Polo Gti and happy to sell me the stereo before he does so ( RCD 510 ) and swap over for my RCD 300.

Can anyone tell me how much I should really offer him?

Then does anyone know or able to recommend anyone who would be able to do the swap over in the Portsmouth Area?

Thanks

Mat

Evening,

I paid £160 for a RCD510 dab off eBay and fitting is easy, check out youtude, loads of videos telling you how to remove your old stereo.

One otherthing make sure you get the code from your mate for the new stereo. plus you might get the battery drain issue if you have a pre 2007 car.

Hi I paid £198 for one from 2012  car , as said you might get battery drain issues , I didn't in my 57 plate tdi but I had my chassis number checked and it gave me my can gateway model which was later one , you can also find it out with vagcom

Paid £200 for a late 2012 RCD DAB unit that had never been used (swapped out for SatNav at sale of car by fleet buyers).
