just stumbled across these on the bay....... Item number: 200279381104. anybody know if they will work with no other mods?? (aside the coding..) I really like the highline pod!
-
If you mean the highline MFD between the rev counter and the speedo they can be retrofitted if your car did not leave the factory with it but I have heard that is quite a complicated job and can take quite a while. :surprised:
-
Some one will be along to correct me i'm sure, but i remember reading its easier to travel back in time than do this mod.
-
hmm, if its too much arse ache i prob won't bother...would be good if they are plug and play though! i assume the control module could possibly be different.
-
Theres a guide on golfmkv.com iirc , but looks time consuming :signLOL:

I've done loads on Octy's, it's a 15 minute job really. Plug and Play aside from the coding.
For DiY - You'll need the 4 digit SKC for your car and for the new insert as well as VCDS.
VW Dealer - Should be a max of an hours labour.
You'll not be able to modifiy the mileage on the used pod if has been used before. (Not with the common readily available tools anyway)
-
cheers for that stu!
excuse my lack of knowledge but whats VCDs? is it possible just to change the display to the highline one utilising my exsiting pod then?
-
VCDS - New name for VAG-COM.
No you need a complete new dash insert.
