Title: Tyres ?
Post by: gillm on January 14, 2013, 05:28:38 pm
Right guys I've always had re50a on my car as it came with them new and I've never thought of changing them but now I'm wondering if I can get a better or different tyre . Needs to be grippy and quieter then what I have . Any ideas ?

I've answered 3 this month

Goodyear Assymetric 2's - won auto express tyre test for the mk5 gti. Loads of great reviews on here, what more do you want. . . I'll be fitting a set to my Scirocco when it needs tyres.

Alternatives are Michelin PS3's which get great feedback on here

....Another vote for Goodyear Asymmetric 2's here - Except of course when Winter tyres are more appropriate.

I thought you had sold your GTI a while ago.

Nah kept it and building a new garage for it to live in for a few more years , nothing out there takes my fancy , drove a rs4 but found it to be slower and worse on fuel and kinda scared of it going wrong
