^ The makers say that this is the solution to folks not being offended by seeing mums breast-feeding in public.
However, I'm inclined to think that it has the opposite effect and grabs your attention and looks like someone has got a very strangely textured breast.
I suppose you could wear one as a hat but wouldn't you feel a right tit doing so!?

In case anyone is wondering how I came across this, it was on a female friend's page on Facebook.

IMO the problem stems from breasts being sexualised in our society. Consequently, showing them is a no-no. What's funny is that a woman can walk around with the tiniest of bikinis that cover the nipples and it's all okay but the moment they expose the nipples, it's a Neddy no-no. Men have nipples too but no one censors them.
I reckon if breasts were not sexualised, we wouldn't have had issues with breastfeeding.

I think you are right, Jaz.
However, I don't see anything wrong in having sexual associations with women's breasts - Afterall, some derive great pleasure from their usually gentle but firm manipulation by aroused men.
Those Boob Beanies really slap the subject of breast-feeding in public in your face, IMO - You can't miss it and not look. Perhaps that's what breast-feeding mums want but I doubt it.
-
Unnecessary!
Im an staunched advocate of breast feeding, and IMO not enough women these days do it. I dont see a problem with women whipping their baps out in public places to feed their baby... its been happening for the last 5000 years so whats the beef now?

I couldn't agree more, Rich. The fact is that mothers have all the natural ingredients in their 'milk' to help a baby grow healthily. And it's also far more convenient and less disruptive for the parents - Just get a titty out et voila!

Jeeze! Have you ever tasted neat breast milk, Rich? It's a very long time since I have but I don't recall enjoying it!

I haven't tried any since I was about 45yo! I'm sure I'm not the only father who has tasted breast milk out of curiosity when first becoming a dad.

....I wouldn't do it again either. I remember being disappointed that it didn't taste nice. Perhaps it's Mother Nature's way of keeping the dads from nicking their baby's milk.
I know that some mums have difficulty getting started with breast feeding but perseverance nearly always wins. Some, for reasons I find strange, actually don't want to breast feed.
-
LOL, you know if your had the chance you would or at least be very tempted - I was  but like you say not as nice as you think
Breast is great for a number of reasons ... best start, you go out and you have milk on tap, oh and there was one more .... oh yeah, until settled in at least dads can't help that much on the feeding part
As for the beanie's - funny but not required, my wife use to use a shawl type top which made it descreet
