Title: Jacks 1.9 TDI
Post by: Jack1992 on January 15, 2013, 03:38:48 pm
Hi, all pretty new to the golf modding scene anyway here is a couple of pics i took of my car this morning, very happy with it after owning it for 2 months.

its just the standard golf at the minute but hoping to add new parts soon mostly OEM such as gti front and rear bumper, headlights possiblly mudguards and skirts, so basically a gti rep and a new headunit that i can use my phone through.

And after that maybe some lowering springs, not to low something like 40mm

and if anyone knows what wheels these are as never seen them on a golf before? probably have been just me being stupid!!!

The wheels look like they're VW Chicagos from the Passat/Eos  :happy2: GTI headlights would look better if you're going with the bumper

Yeah they've been added to the list now aswell, as a rear gti bumper and possibly some sideskirts. The list is getting longer and longer!!!

You have my wheels.  They are very rare in silver, normally polished with black inside.

I remember when my car looked like that, not anymore though.  Have fun it's a great starting point!!!

This is mine with all the bits you mentioned so it should look something like this

Nope, have a look in the group buy area.

Mirrors just takes time to get the indicator glass out

Boot pop... under the group buy I have set up. Will cost you no more than £57 & the cost of someong codeing it it. A beer ect ect...

Does require codeing. Literally ticking a box with VCDS. And a 10 minuet job to fit with a few tools  :happy2:

The tinting of the wing mirror lights is easy. I vinyl 'smoked mine', you can buy replacement ones already darkened. OR spray your own

I used somthing like this....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIGHT-VINYL-A4-SIZE-300MMX200MM-Smoked-Fog-Light-Headlight-Tint-Film-Wrap-Sheet-/200803447163?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ec0d1717b

Not lamin-x just a cheap A4 sheet of vinyl. Applied correctly you would think they have been sprayed. It was good to note that the indicators are actually more visible  :happy2:

Just got some new Goodyear assy2s ordered for the front ready for the summer. Interior LEDs fitted all round just waiting for weather to warm up to do new headlights and sidelight bulbs :)
