^^^^ can't say it would bother me, its just another animal, we associate some animals with food and some as pets and some as working animals but I imagine they're all tasty when dead!

Look forward to finding out more about this at work over the next few days as I work for the Food Standards Agency. Co-incidentally enough, Tim Smith quoted in that article is the ex CEO of the FSA...so quite ironic that it's happened at Tesco.

Be careful eating them though. If they're not cooked properly you'll end up with the trots!!

Eaten several "Cheval Burgers" in france on various holidays and in a burger tastes no different to beef or what they purport to be beef in a regular burger (Eyes ears lips and arseholes)

I think the issue here is that it was not mentioned on the box/packet.

I don't eat beef so would be very angry to find it in a pork/lamb/chicken product.

But bring on the horse burger

The issue is that it shouldn't have been there in the first place. Nothing to do with labelling at this stage.

What you get in a burger is all swept off the floor anyway (reclaimed) or as stated in my previous post

Apparently they have been on the shelves for two months and now they are going to throw 10 million away.

Seems a bit of a waste. :popcornsoda:
