I have an iPhone 5, but you dont specifically state what you are looking for in your new purchase.

I dont need a 4s as im not fussed with siri, dont really use the camera as i have an SLR cam, however it is slightly faster than the ip4.

iPhone 5 ? hmmmm i like the big screen and the speed but read reviews and also said on the gadget show that battery life is not as good as the 4/4s. also price will be high.

Not sure on the android market but perhaps look up the Samsung S3

If something cheaper then Nokia are easy to use for Mums.

Battery on my iPhone 5 is far better than on my previous 4S.
