speed bump broke my splitter, so got that cheap Golf GT splitter on there right now. Need the snow plow back!

I wish! I think I cleared the road I drove down earlier with the snow on the splitter!

air helps,
All these people laugh at me due to their low static cars. Just pump up tractor stance and off I go. (or will at least, haven't been out in it yet!)

How safe is it due to the large amount of snow that could get stuck on the radiator, or is it a miniscule amount

Most snow just gets stuck in the grill not the rad :)

I expect the snows cooling capabilities would counter-act the air flow restriction?

I got home guys. Took me twice as long as usual. Just that my office has 3 speed bumps which I usually do at 2mph, so you can guess they were the difficult bits. But not so lucky for an S3 who crashed at the roundabout in front of me  :signLOL:

.
My car has only 95mm road clearance but if driven carefully it still has traction in the snow. The problem is that the snow gets packed into the front and last year ripped out a sensor. I'm retired and so have a choice and my car is staying in her batcave until all the snow and ice has gone.

Last time it snowed down here - 2010?............................

One of the big problems is that you are at the mercy of everyone else..........

I'm in love with my winter boots; loads of people struggling today, I felt like I had a Series 1 Landy, no drama... at all!
However, you still get stuck waiting for other people with summer boots :fighting:

After a few minutes of wheelspinning and slipping of clutch, they got going... at which point the GTI just pulled away without any effort.  I honestly thought I was going to at least have a bit of an issue on the slope, but nope nothing. :happy2:

Regarding the lowering issue, mine is standard height and looked like a snow plough at the end of the day, god knows how you guys get on with your rides on the floor.

i took my car for a quick spin and i was very surprised at how well it did to get out the driveway especially since i don't exactly have much ground clearance

I actually find they grip very well and with being so low i don't go flying round corners.
For the price of them you cant really complain and they give me the stretch needed

Cheers  :happy2:

Worst thing is driving on the road and then seeing them lumps of grey/black snow, and hoping it isn't hard ice! And you can't dodge em cos you might lose control!
