Title: Winter service treat
Post by: phil197 on January 19, 2013, 12:42:01 pm
I've saved a few pounds ready to treat the gti to a major service, how much can I expect to pay at a specialist for

Oil and filter change
Brake fluid change
Coolant change
Cam follower replacement
Fuel filter replacement
New spark plugs

Have £400 should that cover it?

Phil

At a good specialist, id hope that £400 would pay for 2 times wat u ask for! So yes, £400 will easily cover it!

£140 for an oil change  :surprised: i wouldn't be going back there to have anything else done.
Ask around on here for a good independant in your area?

I've just totaled up what I paid when I had the above and I had change out of £300 but this doesn't include the coolant change as I had that done at VW when the cambelt was done
