I've been a massive fan of the forum for a long time now and always been a bit embarrassed to get involved seen as tho I only have a 1.4 fsi but I love it so thats that !!!

So as I said I've seen what goes on in the forums so please feel free to bring on the banter I'm expecting a lot of "should of got a gti" etc but don't b too harsh

Since I bought it I've only made a few subtle mods nothing to pricey or major as I no it wouldn't b worth the outlay when I no I will be getting a gti one day (soon hopefully) rather save me pennies for my new car fund
But it's now got 18" monzas , got the mk6 dials inside, aftermarket head unit, wind deflectors and rear windows 90% tints.

Like I said nothing major ill save the proper build threads n mods list for when I get my gti

Well at least one good point to the 1.4 is better MPG than us.....in these cold condition (town driver) only getting average on 24 MPG....hurts like a bitch :signLOL:

And yeah they were the first thing to go and my biggest reason for not going for a gti yet was a. Petrol and b. insurance ive only just turned 21 so there starting to become more realistic but on the 1.4 I'm only paying £500 a year which I can live with : )

If he follows you Matt he will end up with a GTI Engine K04 converion in that beast. :P

Welcome to the forum! Who cares what engine you have! :evilgrin: My 1.9 TDI (apparently) pollutes the world :driver:

Good to see you have started modding, id like to see the mk6 dials :happy2:

And hope I haven't got you to excited about the dials should really describe them as heating controls however I think there a nice touch I've got a pic on a old phone somewhere ill dig it out and get it uploaded soon

@op insurance is a problem at 21 i imagine!

And then the awkward moment when a real gti pulls up along side me and I just sink in to my non-interlago interior :notworthy:

We all have to start somewhere and that looks a nice tidy motor, A set of lowering springs and some 18"wheels would transform it.

My son would love one like that but first time insurance he has had to have the obligatory 1.2 corsa :ashamed:
