Hi there got a bit of a problem I need sorted ASAP.
I have recently removed my ITG induction and put my standard air box on. The problem is it now won't idle and is very erratic so much so it stalls. Disconnecting the MAF sorts it out. Now for the confusing thing,
I popped the ITG back on and it's fine? Runs as it should. I have removed the battery for a day to try and see if it resets the ECU's expectations to no avail. The ECU is remapped :sad1:
Fault code is:
17497 - Mixture Regulation; Bank 2; Range 1
P1089 - 001 - Lean Limit Exceeded
Thanks in advance.

faulty/damaged maf housing on the standard air box?

All pipes and housing checked and its all in order with no cracks or leaks.

If it worked fine with the ITG both times, then the ECU needs to adapt to the OEM air box. When swapping back, drive it gently for a while and build the power on gently after a good few miles so it doesnt run lean.

It wont get out of the garage without stalling :-(

just let it idle in your garage for a while and then take it out for a little bit

Have you checked to see whether the seal is on the maf sensor and not fallen off when removing it from the itg

Try resetting the fuel trims.

Try resetting the fuel trims.
How do I do this?
I presume via vagcom? Mine is playing up :-(

Try resetting the fuel trims.
That's unlikely to make any difference. And yes, you need vcds to reset the trim measurement.

Check the OEM air box that nothing is blocked in there

Nothing is blocked, and no vac leaks
