Title: GTI vs Edition 30 CLutch
Post by: Mahooo3 on January 22, 2013, 12:17:38 pm
Hi,

Just wondering if there is a difference between the GTI and Edition 30 manual clutch?  Is the Edition 30 uprated to cope with the extra power/torque?

Cheers

both the same!

Not much additional power on stock engines between them

makes sense as the clutch on my Ed 30 was starting to slip with stage 1 bluefin.  It's off now and the clutch is perfect, dont think I'll bother uprating the clutch.  Bit disappointing that they didn't put a similar manual clutch as the Golf R or S3 in the car...Car ran lovely with the bluefin on :sad1:

Thanks :happy2:

I think you may find they do have the same clutch (or at least the same rating).

The Golf R & S3 get away with it as stock as they are mapped to produce low torque. A remapped K03 GTI has more torque than a stock Golf R.
