Is this possible to still have steering controls on the gti?
I used to have an aftermarket headunit on my focus ST and kept steering controls with a special lead. Is this possible with the golf as it uses a canbus system?
If possible can somebody point me in the right direction for what I need for my controls to work with a pioneer double din unit?
Thanks in advance!

That's the lead that is needed and then you need a patch lead (approx £5)
I will report back once everything is installed. Would be nice to make use of my buttons with HU especially the phone button would be handy!

I highly doubt the phone button would work! Let us know how you get on. Cheers

Pioneer quote that it's one of the features that will work, and my HU has built in parrot bluetooth.
Ill report back anyway when payday comes

most of the buttons workon my mk6 s/w but get no info on the high line but that could be down to the steering wheel

Yeah I don't think I will get track info on my highline as the headunit itself isn't part of the canbus system. But that doesn't really bother me tbh
