Title: Which parts are needed for MFSW?
Post by: Biano44 on January 23, 2013, 04:35:36 pm
Hi Guys,
I have just found a MK6 DSG MF steering wheel for a reasonable price, what parts are needed to fit it onto my MK5 GT DSG (2008/58), also I wold like to get Cruise fitted at the same time but I'm sure I need specific parts for this as well?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Slip ring possibly
CH controller
New steering wheel loom
Cruise control stalk

I think!

Thanks for the quick reply.

Is there somewhere I can find out specific part numbers?.......I know that with my car not having a MFSW or DSG paddles already will make it more complicated but I'm sure I can work it out.

Thanks

If you end up with a mk6 cruise stalk be aware the graphics will differ slightly from your mk5 mfa (wiper stalk).  Depending on your level of VW OCD you may well wish to change the mfa stalk to a mk6 version to match.  There are some people on here whom it's bugged and they've changed to the mfa stalk at a later date.  Might all be worth doing in one hit  :happy2:

Thanks for the tip, I will check the symbols and see if it's going to annoy me.
